The March issue of the Journal of Histotechnology is now available! This exciting Special issue covers the topics of Spatial Omics and a Technical Note on Histological Methods for Plant Tissues. Histotechnology covers so many areas and disciplines that broadens our horizons beyond our daily work and activities and opens pathways for learning and sharing. Explore the printed or “on-line” version of this fascinating journal of wealth of information from your colleagues.
This month is a great time to take part in the 2025 Laboratory Webinar Series. There is still time to enroll in the webinar for Wednesday, April 23, 2025 - The Histologist’s Role in the Diagnosis of Rare Tumors. A great way to spend a Wednesday afternoon and earn continuing education credits with friends and colleagues.
If you are interested in either nominating one of your colleagues or even yourself for one of the NSH Awards or scholarships, then now is the time to be thinking and gathering your information to nominate. NSH has a great selection
of awards and scholarships provided and sponsored by many of our scientific vendors or personal colleagues. Check them out on the NSH Website and demonstrate your support for deserving and recognizing histotechnology professionals. And just introduced this Spring, the Lena Spencer Scholarship Fund which will award three (3) scholarships each quarter to cover the cost of HT/HTL exam application fees up to $250 USD. Go to the Awards and Scholarship tab on the NSH website to review the criteria for this award.
The 2025 NSH Convention will be held September 26-30, 2025, in Long Beach, CA. The NSH Convention provides avenues of ideas and topics about histotechnology and advances professional growth, standards, knowledge, and performance in histotechnology through continuing and formal educational programs. Visit the NSH website to watch the schedule of presentations and register early.
